Dingli

It’s a good 30-minute walk from the centre of Rabat out to Dingli, but it is a pleasant one. If you’d rather not walk, then hop on the 56 bus, which will take you straight to Dingli.

Dingli is a rural area and one of the largest stretches of countryside in Malta – it’s a haven for those keen to break away from the hustle and bustle for a few hours.

If you are walking on the main road from Rabat, you will pass by Verdala Castle. It was built in 1586 during the reign of Hugues Loubenx de Verdalle and now serves as the official summer residence of the President of Malta, but isn’t open to the public.
